Banners

Banners are graphical elements that appear at the top of most pages in the community. They may optionally include the community name and a description of the community.

You can choose to add a different banner for specific pages. For example, if you wanted a different banner on your community blog page, you can edit that page to add a banner that will be displayed in place of the community banner. Banner image

You need Admin permission to perform this task. See Permissions and access levels for details.
Add a banner image to brand the look and feel of your community and of specific challenges.
Note: The banner image should be 1024 pixels wide; narrower images are distorted to fit the page.The height of the image isn't as important, but around 130 pixels generally works well.
  1. Go to Admin Setup > Design > Banners and branding.
  2. Click Change under Customize Banner.
    Use the file picker to select the image and optionally upload a new one to your library,
    1. If the file is not already in your library

      1. Click Choose file and select a file from your computer.

      2. Click Upload file to add the file to your library.

    2. Select the image from your library.
    3. Click Save choice.
    Note: To not show images, choose the "Nothing" image.

  3. Optional: Adjust the banner height.
    The height of the banner image is either the full height of the image or it is clipped to the height you specify,

  4. Optional: Include the community name and description.
    The community name (specified in Changing your community name) and the Description are text that appear in the upper left corner of the image.

    1. Chose Show in banner to add the Community name or Description to the image.
    2. Provide a Description label.
  5. Click Save changes.
The banner now uses your choices.
