Community colors

Customize the colors of a community to apply your brand or personalization.

Links

Hyperlinks in the community such as links to ideas, and links to a page or challenge.

Design elements

Design elements appear throughout your community, though they are most commonly related to ideas. For example, the Design elements color is used on the idea page, in the panel that shows how many votes an idea has. It's also used on the challenge page, where it's used as the color of a 'thumbs up/down'.

Banner

The banner color displays when you don't use an banner image. The color of the text is white when the banner is a dark color, and black for a lighter color. If you prefer, you can upload an image for your banner, for more information, see Banners.

Button

This is the color of the buttons in your community, such as the Post an idea button on the challenge page, and the Join in button that you click to go to a challenge.

Background

The background of your community is the area on either side of the center panel, you can choose to set is a solid color using this option, or you can upload your own image. For information about uploading an image, see Community background.

Design area color

You need Admin permission to perform this task. See Permissions and access levels for details.
Set the color for one or more community design areas.
  1. Go to Admin Setup > Design > Colors.

  2. Click an element to open its color picker.
  3. Pick the color to use.
    • Enter the HTML hex code of the color you want, or

    • Choose the color with the color-picker tool.

  4. Click Save changes.
The colors now appear in the community.
