Create Short URLs

Restriction: This feature or information is available to Medallia employees only and it is not to be shared outside the company.

Mindful Feedback includes its own URL shortener service, allowing super users to provide easily manageable links to any URL. In practice, this page should be used to shorten Default Survey URLs or other links to web surveys.

Configuration is quick and straightforward, with three settings available:

  • Token: Enter the URL slug you wish to use (the part that follows the domain).
  • Full URL: Enter the target (destination) to set for the new short URL.
  • Make Permanent: Toggle this setting On if you would like the URL to persist forever. Otherwise, it will be deleted after 90 days.
    • The engineering team can manually delete any URLs currently marked as permanent.

With the Token and Full URL fields configured, click Create to generate a new short URL. The URL will be displayed on the page afterwards, like so:

Important: Adding a short URL that already exists will override the existing entry. Before creating a short URL, test to ensure it is not already assigned.
