Advanced settings

The Advanced tab has a variety of options that will be explained in this article.

Allow Agents to Add New Interactions

This option is used to determine if agents have permission to add new interactions for this survey. If this is checked, the survey will appear in the Send Surveys form for users with agent permissions. For more information, see Adding Interactions.

Invalid Response Prompt

The invalid response sound file is the prompt that plays when a respondent inputs an invalid key during a voice interaction (or does not provide a response within the question timeout).

The invalid response text prompt will be sent to respondents when the survey is using the SMS survey channel.

Timeouts

The Timeouts determine how long an interaction can be pending or in progress before it is considered abandoned.

The timeout is measured in minutes and is defined separately for each survey type, as some types are expected to take significantly longer to complete than others. Once the specified number of minutes has elapsed since the interaction's scheduled time, if the respondent has not yet completed the survey it will be marked as abandoned and will no longer accept responses.

Add Interaction Webhook URL

The Add Interaction Webhook URL is a unique URL that can be used to add interactions to the survey without authenticating with Mindful Feedback.

To add interactions using this webhook you can go to the URL in a browser. This will bring up a version of the send surveys form specifically for this survey. Alternatively, you can configure a third-party application to make a POST request to the URL to automatically add interactions. This POST request expects the same JSON body as adding an interaction via the API, with the exception of the survey_id field which is not required. For details on constructing a POST request, see the API documentation.

For more details on adding interactions via webhook, check out this article.

Default Web Survey URL

The Default Web Survey URL is a unique URL that will create a new web survey interaction and redirect the user to the new interaction. Refer to adding a web survey using the default web survey URL for more information.

SIP Survey Token

The SIP Survey Token is the value that should be passed in the SIP call UUI Header for SDX-survey_sip_token. This tells Mindful which survey to play to the caller when it receives a call on the SIP interface. The use case for this sip token is outlined in the section on adding a survey via SIP call.

Confirm Email Responses

The email survey includes the first question of the survey in the body of the email. When a respondent clicks to respond to this question it will open a browser to conduct the rest of the survey over the web.

If this option is enabled then after clicking to respond to the question in the email, the respondent will be taken to the web survey and shown the same question with their response already selected. The respondent needs to then submit that response again.

When this option is not enabled, the response from the email is submitted on click and the web survey that opens will begin on the next question in the survey.

Warning: Email security systems

Some businesses implement security systems that will follow links within emails in order to ensure they are not nefarious. In general, if your email surveys are directed to business users (business to business) then this option should be enabled. Not enabling this option for business recipients can result in the first question of the survey being falsely submitted by email scanning software.
