Push updates

Push updates enable app creators to deploy the latest released version of an app to multiple Medallia Experience Cloud instances that have an older version. To push app update:

  1. On the Manage Apps screen, select the app from the list. Expand the app line item to view previously released versions of the app. For example, in this image, four versions of the app Push Upgrade Demo (Summer 2021.1, Summer 2021.2, Fall 2021.1, and Winter 2021.1) have been released.

  2. In the details pane, click Push Update.
Restriction: Push Update is only available if two released versions of the app exist and if the app is marked as updateable. Contact your Medallia expert to request that an app be set to updateable.
  3. On the Prepare push update screen, select the app version to push to eligible clients from the Version dropdown. For example, two clients are eligible for the Winter 2021.1 (V4.0.0) version update:

  4. Click Add Checkbox icon next to all client instances that should receive the push update, then click Continue.

  6. Back on the Manage Apps screen, Experience Cloud simulates the installation on all the selected clients and shows a list of the conflicts to resolve. A conflict means something in the app was already on the target instance, and it has been edited there. Click Resolve conflicts.
