Create a new configuration

Follow this procedure to build and scope a custom instruction set for a specific end-user role.

Before you begin, you need to turn on the Enable Insights Assistant configuration feature flag and the

Manage Insight Assistant Configurations administrative permission.

The configuration flow includes these steps:
  • New Configuration

  • Accept Disclaimer

  • Define Details & Instructions

  • Save

  1. Click the New Configuration button.

  2. Acknowledge the Safety Disclaimer.

    1. Read the "Quality & Safety" prompt highlighting that custom instructions influence agent reasoning and response accuracy.
    2. Check the box: "By proceeding with a custom configuration, I acknowledge that the custom configuration can influence Insights Assistant reasoning and output.
    3. Optionally, Check "Don't show this Dialog again" to bypass this prompt in future setups, then click Create anyway.
  3. Enter Configuration Details

    1. Configuration Name — Input a distinct, descriptive name (e.g., Frontline Manager Instructions)
    2. Description — Add internal context for other administrators explaining the purpose of this configuration.
  4. Scope the Target Roles
    1. Select the Assigned Roles field and attach the target role(s) (e.g., Frontline Manager, Insights Analyst).
      Important: The system strictly enforces that any role can only be associated with one active configuration at a time.
  5. Draft and Format Instructions

    1. Enter your custom guidelines in natural language within the Instructions Textbox
    2. Insert Precise Fields — Use the field selector tool at the top of the textbox to easily insert static, unambiguous field identifiers in the required format: <field_name> (<field_keyname>).
  6. Click Save to apply the configuration.
The system automatically registers the instructions, direct you back to the list view, and apply the rules in real-time to the scoped roles.
