Landing pages
Feedback > Surveying > Survey Programs > Landing Pages
Defines the landing page to use for customers accessing the survey with an ID and URL, such as from a "paper survey invitation". In this scenario, the customer typically receives a paper invitation — possibly in the postal mail — that includes the URL to access the survey, and includes a unique ID that identifies the survey/invitation.
The URL includes a string that is the Survey ID that identifies the landing page specification. Once on the page, the customer enters the ID to retrieve the survey associated with the invitation.
The landing page uses the default Customization for the company unless overridden by the Customization property on this page.
Properties
- Name
- Name of the configuration
- Sample Unit
- A representative Unit used to determine the customization to use when the Customization property is empty. When picking the customization, the system may use the Unit's By Unit Groups specification to determine the customization.
- Customization
- Customization to use.
(Recommended) Leave blank to use the default for the survey program.
- Survey ID
- Identifier to be included in the URL to access the landing page. In this example, "orion" is the ID:
survey.medallia.com/?orion
- Survey Prefix
- Internal prefix for the survey as defined by Prefix on the Custom survey IDs page. On the landing page, the customer enters the unique ID code they received. That ID is appended to this prefix to for the complete survey ID. Note:
Do not confuse the custom ID Prefix with the Survey ID that appears in the URL to the landing page, though they can be the same value. In this example,
orionSurveyIDis the Survey ID to the landing page:survey.medallia.com/?orionSurveyID.But to directly access the survey, use the complete custom ID, including the Prefix. In this example,
orionPrefixis the Prefix:survey.medallia.com/?orionPrefix-a2c-4f6-g8.The later example bypasses the landing page and goes directly to the first page of the survey.

- A note to translators.
