Translation versions

The Translation versions screen tracks the versions of each translatable item translated through the main Translations screen.
Properties
- Locale Label
- Label set in Locales screen to identify a locale.
- ItemKey
- ID of the translatable item. Items are strings (word or phrases) that might have one or more translations depending on the Context.
Items may refer to Alternative sets, Q-fields, E-fields, and so on.
- ContextKey
- ID of the context where the translated item is displayed.
Items may have different translations depending on the context they are shown. For example, a translated item Text may be shorter when displayed in mobile devices.
A Context can inherit another context, which means that, if there is no translated Text for an item in a context, Experience Cloud uses its Parent Context's translation.
ContextKey varies based on the ItemKey. For example, all ItemKeys that refer to Q-fields start they ContextKey with
question., followed by the displaying location, such as name, header, short, etc. - Text
- Translated text for a translation Item using a Locale, displayed in a particular Context.
- ParentText
- Translation Item inherited text. Every Translation Item (except for ROOT) inherits from another translation Item.
- Update with Parent
- Overwrites Text with that of the ParentText.
- Synchronize Translations Items
- Select Confirm to the synchronize a Translation Item with the database.
