Users

The Users page displays a list of all users, and is used to control access to ONE. Use this page to:

  • Add a new user
  • Edit details for an existing user
  • Reset a user's account
  • Reset a user's password
  • Delete a user

Add New Users

  1. Click Add New User.

  2. Enter the details for this user:

    FieldDescription
    First NameFirst name of the new user.
    Last NameLast name of the new user.
    Email AddressEmail address of the new user. This is the email address to which all emails from MXO will be sent.
    Confirm Email AddressRe-enter email address of the new user. This must match the email address specified in the Email Address field.
    User IDThe username assigned to the new user. The user must provide this username to log on to ONE.
    RoleThe role and permissions assigned to the new user. You can assign more than one role for a user. Choose from: System Administrator. A System Administrator can access Admin Settings, create new users and change the security settings for a tenancy. A System Administrator can also access MXO and is automatically assigned the Creator, Administrator, and Publisher roles for any Spaces they create.
    Note: We strongly recommend that you have two or more System Administrators for your tenancy.

    MXO User.

    A MXO User can access ONE, and is automatically assigned the Creator, Administrator, and Publisher roles for any Spaces they create. A MXO User can't access Admin Settings and create new users or change the security settings for a tenancy.
    GroupsLeave as default. By default, all uses are assigned to the Default Group.
  3. Click Create User.This sends an email to the new user. The email contains a link to the User Security Registration page. The link remains active for 28 days.After clicking the link, the user is asked to set up their password and choose a number of security questions to answer in the event that they forget this password.

Edit User Details

  1. Click the name of the user you want to edit.
  2. Make your required changes and then click Update.

Reset a User Account

  1. Click the name of the user whose account you want to reset.
  2. Click Reset Account.
  3. Click Update.This sends an email to the user. The email contains a link to the User Security Registration page. The link remains active for 3 days.After clicking the link, the user is asked to set up their password and choose a number of security questions to answer in the event that they forget this password.

Reset a User's Password

  1. Click the name of the user whose password you want to reset.
  2. Click Reset Password.
  3. Click Update.This sends an email to the user. The email contains a link to the Answer your security questions page. The link remains active for 3 days. After clicking the link, the user is asked to answer one or more of their chosen security questions before being asked to provide a new password.

Delete a User

  1. Select the checkbox next to the name of the user you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete Selected.
  3. Click Yes to confirm you want to deleted the selected user.
Note:

User IDs within MXO are unique. Deleting a user renders the associated user ID inoperative. If you delete a user and need to set the same user up with a new account at a later date, you must assign that user a new, unique, user ID.
