Dot Heatmap
Dot heatmaps show an aggregate display of where users are clicking, each dot representing a click on a page, and the more an area is clicked, the larger and brighter a dot becomes. You can choose if you want a dot heatmap to visualize data from on-screen clicks, touches, or cursor hovering.
Dot heatmap clicks are based on coordinates, as opposed to content, and are calculated from a Fixed Element Selector, which can be configured in the Heatmaps tab in Account Settings. So, on one user's screen, a button may be 50 px from the left, while on a larger user's screen it could be 100 px. Both clicks will take place on the button. However, they will display in different areas on the dot heatmap due to the fact that they are based on coordinates. In contrast, attribution heatmaps track clicks relevant to content as opposed to coordinates.
