Sessions
Analyze Sessions
On the navigation bar, go to Analyze > Sessions > Analyze.
Column | Description |
---|---|
Session | Displays the session IP address (depending on your IP address handling choice in privacy settings) or ISP and location. Icons display to the right if the session has been marked as a favorite, commented on, or tagged. Hover over the icon for more details. |
Seen | Displays the most recent date and time the session replay was viewed. |
Device | Displays the device type the visitor used in the session. Hover over the device icon to view the device type, operating system, and browser used in the session. |
From | Displays the country the visitor viewed from. Hover over the flag to view the name of the country. |
Channel | Displays the channel the visitor arrived at the session from, such as Google or Facebook, or one of the following:

Pages | Number of pages viewed in the session |
Focus time |
Length of time the page or screen was the main focus on the visitor's device. If the visitor goes to a different browser tab or opens a different program while DXA is running, this would count towards the total duration and not the focus time. |
Events | Hover over one of the following colored icons to view the number of events that occurred in the session:

Tracked Event | Displays any tracked events associated with the session |
Revenue | Revenue generated by associated tracked events |
DXS | DXS score for the session |
Time |
Date and time of the session |
Actions | The following actions are available for each session:

Adjusting the date range for displayed sessions

In Analyze Sessions, click the date range dropdown menu. By default, this is set to Last 7 full days (excluding today).
- Enter the date range:

To select a predefined date range, such as Last 7 days or This month, click the Date range dropdown menu.

To enter your own date range, enter a From date and a To date.

Click Apply changes.
The date range is applied to all sessions.
Applying a segment to sessions

In Analyze Sessions, click Segment.

In Segment (You can select one Segment or more), select one or more segments.

In Device type, select the device type used in the sessions to display or select Show all.

Click Apply changes.
The segment is applied. In the image below, only sessions where the visitor added an item to the cart are displayed.
Exporting sessions and pageviews to CSV

In Analyze Sessions, click Export.
Click Export as CSV.
The Export type window appears.
In the Export type window, select if you want to export Sessions or Pageviews.
Click Next.
The Export name window appears.
(Optional) In Please confirm the file name., rename the CSV file.
In Retention, select the length of time you want to archive the CSV file.
Click Export.
The data begins to export. While exporting, the data appears on the Recent exports table with a Pending status.
The exported CSV file is retained the archive for the length of time you selected. To download the CSV file, in the Actions column, click Download.
