Integrating standalone Agile Research accounts with Experience Cloud

Considerations for Medallia Experience Cloud customers who have existing standalone Medallia Agile Research accounts that they want to connect to Experience Cloud.

Accessing Agile Research

  • After connecting to Experience Cloud, existing Agile Research users who previously had standalone account access will continue to be able to log in to standalone accounts and will also be able to log in via the Application Switcher in Experience Cloud, if they have a role assigned to them in Experience Cloud with the ‘View Agile Research’ permission. See User management below for details.

  • New Agile Research users who are granted access via Experience Cloud will also be able to login in to standalone accounts by resetting their password using the Recover your account link.

  • Customers' Agile Research data center will remain the same.

User management

  • All Experience Cloud users assigned to any role with the ‘View Agile Research’ permission will be able to access Agile Research.

  • If users are deleted in Agile Research, they will still be able to access Agile Research via Experience Cloud if they have the ‘View Agile Research’ permission enabled.

  • All new Agile Research users who access Agile Research from Experience Cloud will be provisioned with the same default set of permissions. See the Agile Research Enablement Guide for details.

  • Account Admins will no longer be able to add new users in Agile Research. New users have to be created and granted access to Agile Research in Experience Cloud.

Respondent count

  • After an Agile Research account is connected to Experience Cloud, the “Account Plan” box located at the top right of the main Surveys page will change. Instead of showing Respondents left, it will show Total Respondents - last 365 days and will reset at 0 (i.e., it will not count any respondents collected when the account was standalone).

    Account overview.

    • [Not relevant to all customers] If a customer converted to EDR in the middle of their Agile Research standalone contract and has outstanding Agile Research respondents from when the account was standalone, those respondents can be deducted from the Total Respondents - last 365 days count when determining the customer's Experience Cloud data record count. For example, if a customer purchased 10,000 Agile Research respondents when the account was standalone and had collected 5,000 respondents at the time of connecting their account to Experience Cloud, then at the end of the customer's Experience Cloud contract year, the customer had collected Total Respondents - last 365 days of 20,000. The true count of Experience Cloud data records for the contract year would be 15,000 (20,000 minus 5,000). The Product team will make a note of any remaining Agile Research respondents when converting a customer's account from standalone to connect with Experience Cloud.
