System requirements

Digital for Web requirements

  • Digital Command Center browsers: Latest two versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.

Survey-taking requirements

  • Desktop browsers

    • Latest two versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.

    • Other browsers or older versions will likely work; however, Medallia cannot certify a full experience in browsers older than two years. Any issues will be handled on a best-effort basis.

  • Mobile browsers

    • Google Chrome: latest version

    • Android: latest version

    • Safari for iOS: latest version

  • Network connectivity requirements: Digital surveys require unobstructed network connectivity over an HTTPS connection. If your organization employs a content security policy or any other network filtering method, you might need to allow-list Medallia domains. For more information, refer to allow-list documentation or contact your Digital expert.
  • ADA / WCAG compliance: Digital Web is certified WCAG 2.1 Level AA. For the best survey experience, Medallia recommends the following screen reader and browser combinations:

    • Microsoft Windows: Mozilla Firefox + NVDA and Google Chrome + JAWS

    • Apple MacOS: Safari + Voice Over

    • Android: Google Chrome + TapTalk

    • iOS: Safari + Voice Over

    • Safari MacOS users: To enable tabbing in Safari, it is required that the Press tab to highlight each item on a webpage box, located under Safari Preferences - Advanced, is selected.

Highlights

  • Administrators can now customize the text used by required fields for individual survey questions.

  • When editing a survey with reusable fields, if the component's options labels do not match the labels in Experience Cloud, an alert is shown.

  • Administrators using Forms 2.0 can now define the maximum input length for "Text-Area" components.

    This feature is available upon request. Ask your Medallia expert to file a Feature activation request with Medallia Support.

Resolved issues

  • In some situations, enabling a feature could result in the Feedback button being unexpectedly zoomed.

  • The "Powered by Medallia" link is now accessible via keyboard navigation.

  • Calling UpdatePageView now properly resets the form's wrapper element.

  • Customers using Digital v1 integrations had display problems in reporting.

  • Customers who are using a base-URI CSP directive and screen capture no longer experience issues.

  • Command Center users who reload the browser page are no longer displayed an "Access denied" page.

  • Users of the legacy User management screen can now scroll when there is a long users list.

  • Feedback invitations are now announced using screen reader applications on mobile devices.

  • The static feedback button position is now fixed when scrolling the page on mobile devices.

  • Users on iOS devices who selected the "Desktop version" of the page on their mobile device are now able to close an invite which is using the mobile invitation layout.

  • Form 2.0 users on Mobile web are now able to properly horizontally scroll embedded surveys where the hosting element is smaller than the static form width.

  • A white background no longer appears in some CHTML forms.

  • In some rare cases the form list was received twice.

  • Field validation in a multi-page survey now works correctly when navigating back and forth between pages.

  • From 17th of November, 2023 desktop browsers are now properly identified for targeting and display for users using macOS Sonoma and Safari version 17. This fix is applied automatically to all cloud users. DHH clients are required to deploy a new package and save all their forms in order for this fix to take effect.
