Medallia for Salesforce 1.34 release notes

Released starting 11 April 2022

Medallia recommends that Customers upgrade to this release of Medallia for Salesforce to take advantage of enhancements and bug resolutions.

Customers with versions prior to 1.34 may log a Support case or contact their Medallia Services partner to obtain an upgrade URL or request a push upgrade.

Important: If your SFDC integration has exposed the Add to Program functionality to your Salesforce users to create Invitations and are using custom permission sets or profiles to expose this page, you will need to update these permissions to provide Read field level security to a new field called Survey Preview Url. If you do not update these permissions, users will see error messages when trying to create new Invitation records.

If you are leveraging the Medallia App User permission set provided in the package, no changes are needed.

Release highlights

  • Changed verbiage on the timeline Lightning component to align with status verbiage of the Invitation object. For example, the verbiage "Invitation for John Doe was delivered" has been changed to "Invitation for John Doe has been received by Medallia" to reflect situations where the Invitation Status is Received.

  • Added a New Opportunity button to the Response page layout so sales users can create new opportunities when reviewing feedback that indicates potential of an upsell opportunity.

  • When selecting a Feedback Program from the Add to Program page:

    • The program list is ordered alphabetically.

    • There is new functionality that allows a user to see a preview link so that they understand details of the survey they are going to send to a Contact.

      • A new field called Survey Preview URL has been added to the Feedback Program object. When this field value contains a URL for a Feedback Program record, the Add to Program page displays the "Click to View Survey Program" link.

      • When this field is blank for a record, the does not display a link.

Resolved issues

  • When creating a field set on Case object, fields from the Response object are made available which is useful when sending data to Medallia Experience Cloud as part of a closed-loop follow-up flow.

  • Duplicate Invitation records were created when users clicked the Schedule button on the Add to Program functionality multiple times

  • The filter menu on the timeline Lightning component no longer disappears after making a selection.

  • The dial Lightning components score was not being updated to the selected time period.
