Release highlights

  • This release features new functionality to improve error handling in the invitation queue process. This release introduces the ability to:

    • Automatically stop the Send Invitation queue — The queue is automatically stopped when a fatal error occurs while attempting to communicate with the Medallia API. This prevents the queue from getting filled with items marked as "Failed/Retry" due to failed communication attempts.

    • Email alerts for administrators — When a fatal error occurs, the application sends an email alert to an administrator or specified email alias to notify them of the issue. This provides timely notification and ensures administrators can take action promptly.

    • Resume queue processing — Administrators can resume queue processing after addressing the API communication issue by clicking Resume queue in the Medallia Setup application. Once the queue resumes, the Medallia API continues processing invitations. This functionality streamlines error handling and ensures that invitation processing is not delayed unnecessarily due to API connection issues.

Use these tools to prevent the Send Invitation queue from being blocked when the application cannot successfully reach the Medallia API endpoints. Administrators can resume queue processing and invitations are processed through the Medallia API. For more information about these changes, see Configuring the Logging service and Configuring the Queueing service.
