This field is also used by Voices modules as the base for calculating the impact as well as coloring the emerging trends words for the homepage plugins. The homepage plugins use the following impact calculation:
1000 * (((wordAvgScore - overallAvgScore)) * numSurveysUsingWord) / overallNumSurveys)where the Main Score Field is used as the base for all of those.
numSurveysUsingWordis the number called occurrences in the homepage plugin popup.Tip: If you need to reference the main score from a custom report, use i_main_score. - My Reports Template

- Admin Notification Emails
- (Required) Previously known as Contact. Email addresses to receive internal administration notifications. Separate addresses with a comma or semicolon.
When Experience Cloud detects an internal problem, it sends a notification to all the email accounts listed. There is only one message per event. Event details are provided on the Event tickets screen.
- Opt Out Scope
- When an invitee opts-out of surveys, this setting this determines the extent within Experience Cloud. Typically set to at the company level, but can be set to a Unit group or all companies on the server. See Opt-outs screen for details.
- Sampling Volume Threshold
-
Stops sampling when the count of records sampled in the past 24 hours exceeds this threshold. The main purpose of this setting is to stop a run-away process or erroneous invitation feed.
As a rule-of-thumb, set this value to 3x peak daily volume. For companies with with high seasonal peaks, change this setting before and after the season.
When the sampling volume exceeds 80% of the threshold in a 24 hour period, a warning event ticket is issued and alert email is sent to the Admin Notification Emails list.
When sampling exceeds the threshold:
- Sampling stops.
- An event ticket is issued.
- An alert email is sent to the admin list.
When sampling stops due to this setting:
- Review the Invitations report to learn about the records that were recently sampled or waiting to be sampled. If there is a large volume waiting to be sampled, it might be indicative of a problem with the invitation feed.
-
When there are incorrect or invalid records in the invitation file, they must be junked prior to the next step, or the problem might return.
- If you are confident Experience Cloud is not in an error condition, increase the threshold, and click Unblock Sampling.
- Manually re-trigger the file processing on Pretend-mode and verify no errors.
- Manually re-trigger file-processing in Active-mode to resume sampling.
- Be aware that if there is no duplicate-checker, all records on the file will be reprocessed a second time. With a duplicate-checker, previously processed records will be rejected (as duplicate) and only the previously blocked records will be processed successfully.
- It is important to monitor this situation closely for the next 24 hours to verify sampling is processing a reasonable number of records.
Important:Restarting sampling (with Unblock Sampling) does not reset the count of records sampled in the last 24 hours. As such, it is possible for Experience Cloud to quickly re-block sampling due to a high volume. This is why you need to increase the threshold and monitor the situation.
Additionally, sampling occurs in batches of up to 10,000 records. Sampled records can exceed the threshold by up to 10,000 because a batch finishes before sampling is blocked.
Records imported and processed prior to the sampling stop remain queued, but they are not resubmitted until another Invitation feed is successfully processed (either in Active or Pretend mode) and sent to sampling.
- Unblock Sampling button
- Restarts sampling that was stopped due to exceeding the Sampling Volume Threshold.
- Last 24 Hour Sampled Record
- (Display only) Reports the count of records sampled in the last 24 hours.
- Min Sample Size
- The minimum count of surveys to be considered statistically meaningful. In most modules and reports, when the sample size is less than this number of records, column headings appear in red. For information about optimizing sample size, see Sample size methodology.
- Hide Sample Size
- Hides results on reports when the sample size is less than this threshold. Unlike Min Sample Size which only affects the column heading, this option hides individual values (cells in a table).
- Allow Low Samplesize Hiding
-
When checked, hides table rows in reports when the sample size is between Min Sample Size and Hide Sample Size thresholds.
Warning: Configure sample size settings by Role in Sample size. - Rapid Response Regular Expression (From)

Purges all survey records from the company. The company State must be both Inactive and created less than 7 days prior to using this option. However, "junking" only happens when the company is active. So, to use this feature:
-
If necessary, set the State to Inactive.
-
Click Junk all surveys.
-
Set the State to Active. Experience Cloud now junk the records.
-
If necessary, reset the State to Inactive.

- MemberUnitReportingFields
-
Event that can have Unit IDs in a feedback record; each record can use a different field. To be available in this list of available fields, the field must have a data type (Alt Set) of Unit.
Some companies have more than one Unit field in the record. This option identifies the fields that identify the Unit associated with the record. These are the fields that various reports use to identify the Units available for filtering.
Shuttle over unit fields to determine the following:
-
Responses that appear in reports. No records appear for fields that contain no associated records.
-
What appears in filters.
-
Unit fields to check for when assigning data access by unit or unit group.
Note: After shuttling unit fields over, run a Backfill. -
