Review and deploy

Review and deploy revises the Ad Hoc survey configuration. It displays which steps have some missing configurations or errors that need work before distributing the survey. Some errors that may impede sending invitations are:

  • Survey and Brand — Survey is not renderable via survey preview and/or there is no design selected.

  • Distribution — Settings are incomplete and either Invitation and Reminder emails have errors.
    Note: Based on the chosen distribution method, either Distribution by email, Distribution by link, or both might be available.

  • Translations — Translations are missing, have errors, or are out of sync.

  • Uploaded file — Medallia fields are either missing or incorrectly mapped.

Review and deploy screen.

Click Edit next to each step to go back and make all necessary changes. Click Preview on Survey and Brand section to preview the survey using the chosen design. Click Test to go to the Testing step to test the complete Ad Hoc survey.

After all the steps are completed, either click:

  • Deploy — When both Distribution methods are enabled. Click Activate link & QR code to start collecting feedback using the survey link/QR code. Once activated, click Copy link and/or Download QR code to obtain the link and/or QR code, and Send invitations to send the indicated number of email invitations.

  • Activate Link & QR code — Only when Link and QR code distribution is enabled. Once activated, click Copy link and/or Download QR code to start collecting feedback.

  • Send invitations — Only when Email distribution is enabled. Sends the survey to the email addresses set in the uploaded file. Click Send more to go back to Upload file screen to upload a new file with more email addresses.

When making any change in the Ad Hoc survey configuration, such as modifying the email, changing the link, uploading a new file, deactivating a distribution method, etc., click Publish changes to make those changes effective.

Note that the status of the Ad Hoc survey now changes to Sent and responses start appearing in the Results screen.
