Testing
-
Test — Only if Email is enabled. Enter one or more email addresses (separated by comma) you would like to send the email invitations and survey to preview them. By default, Ad Hoc surveys uses the first row of your audience file as test data. If the Ad Hoc survey is multi-language, you can select the enabled languages to preview the email and survey in those languages.
-
Advanced testing — Only if Email is enabled. Tests Ad Hoc surveys distributed via email using some data. See Advanced testing for more information.
-
Test link — Only if Link and QR code is enabled. Click Test to open the link in a new browser tab or window to take the survey. If the link contains parameters, you can optionally add the value you would like them to have.
After verifying the different parts work correctly, select the checkboxes from the check list and click Save.
Advanced testing
- Upload a file — Choose an XLSX, XLS or CSV file containing information about the audience data used to test. Make sure the file includes the column headers to map the values to the fields as described in Upload and map data. Important: The test invitations wizard supports XLSX, XLS or CSV flat file format, that is, only rows and columns with given final values on each cell (no formulas). File size must be up to 50 MB.
When using CSV format, check that all records are uploaded successfully.
-
Preview the file — Processes the previous uploaded file and throws the different counter results such as the number of invitations to send, if duplicated records were found, and if records are rejected, sampled out and quarantined. To see all the processing details, click Download processing file. To know more about preparing the testing data file, see Upload and map data. Work with your Medallia expert to configure Sampling filters.
-
Send invitations — Click Send invitations to send the emails to the audience email addresses included in the uploaded file.
-
Sampling rules are honored when sending Test invitations, but records used for testing are not added to the quarantine or opt-out pool. For more information, see Sampling filters.
Email invitations cannot exceed 100 per day, per user.
-
When using Sandboxes, you can only use email addresses listed under Allowed Emails screen.
