Medallia Social Promote
Medallia Social Promote encourages survey takers to share public feedback about their experiences by posting to review sites. Survey takers are always invited to post public reviews, regardless of whether the survey feedback is positive or negative. Studies have shown that promoting public feedback can boost review numbers, average scores, and site rankings.
-
Promote partners — Social Promote partners with TripAdvisor a to post reviews directly from surveys. Public reviews are solicited from a review widget on a survey page that is separate from the rest of the survey questions. For more information, see Promote for TripAdvisor.
-
URL-based promote — Surveys can also include external links on the end page of a survey. For more information, see Social links in surveys.
- Solicitation policy — According to Medallia Experience Cloud’s policy and the review solicitation policies of most review sources, you cannot only ask promoters (individuals who give positive scores) to provide social reviews as that biases results. However, Experience Cloud does allow you to funnel respondents to the promote function by category (for example, to business or leisure guests only). This policy is applicable to Social links in surveys as well as TripAdvisor.
Implement Promote
Promote for TripAdvisor, as well as Social links in surveys, can be implemented by either the implementation team, managed services team, or a partner.
Social links in surveys
As an alternative to Promote, you can also include links to external websites at the end of the survey. These send survey takers to any external site where they can write a review. This option doesn't propagate information from the survey into the site, as occurs with Promote, so survey takers must write a new review themselves in the external site. One of these links might point to a company Facebook page, an Instagram account, etc. For more information, see Social links in surveys.
