Voices card selection

Reporting > Report Helpers > Mobile > Voices Card Selection

Important: The Voices Card Selection and Voices Activity Viewer screens are deprecated as of Voices version 2.4. These screens are no longer supported in Voices TV. To configure which responses are displayed in cards, create a Voices dashboard module as described in Voices module.

Medallia Voices presents customer responses as visually appealing cards you can skim by swiping through them on a mobile device. If a card catches your eye, tap it for more information. You can also send a personal message about the response.

Voices card showing a 0 satisfaction response

A Medallia Voices pool is the set of all responses a user can see based on their permissions (for their role or individually for their account) and within a recent time period. The Voices Card Selection screen defines the pools of responses shown to users.

Default pool is based on the user's or role's permissions, and includes the responses in the pool timeperiod

Medallia Voices randomly pulls and presents 10 responses from a pool. After reading all 10 cards, the user is given the option to load 10 more. Generally the responses are first chosen from the most recent responses (typically a pool of those received in the previous 24 hours), to older responses (typically up to the previous week). Responses older than the time limits of all defined pools are not available, and comments with less than 96 characters are excluded because short ones are generally not interesting.

Note: As of version 2.4 of the app, Medallia Voices filters only on the Q-fields included in the Responses Form. Because other field types, such as translated fields (those starting with a_translation_to_), are not filtered, Medallia Voices cards might display fields with fewer than 96 characters.

After a user opens a card (whether in Medallia Voices, Medallia Mobile, or Medallia Web reporting), that user does not see that card again.

New cards are presented daily between 8:00 a.m. and 12 p.m. per the time on the user's mobile device. Those cards remain visible until new cards are presented the next day. If no new responses are received by Experience Cloud on a given day, and the user has seen all of the previous days' cards, no cards are shown to that user. In this situation, Medallia Voices still sends daily notifications.

Voices card selection properties

Each pool has a name and time interval. By default Medallia Voices draws from all responses available to the user in that time period. The proportion settings can limit or increase the size of the set of responses.

Name
Name of the pool.
Priority
Important: This property is deprecated, and does not affect pools. Leave the default value when creating a pool.
Time interval
The number of days of recent survey responses to include in the pool. Older results are excluded. A value of 0 is the current day. A value of 1 is the previous day, and so on. A day is measured as the previous 24 hours from the time when Medallia Voices requests records from the pool.
Default context proportion

Proportion of results to take from the default context relative to the role's  ata access for this pool.

The Applied Filters section presents a series of filters applied, in order, to records. For example, it begins with the total number of unfiltered feedback records, followed by the number of those records that are unread. Of the renaming number, the next filter shows which of those meet the minimum comment length, and so on with each successive filter. The final filters are the predicate filters that check for records that meet the minimum comment length and have a main score.

Potential Score Field Issues
When the mobile and main score fields are different, unexpected results can occur inMedallia Voices. To avoid this situation, use the same field for the mobile and main scores.
