Voices suggested contacts
Define a Voices a contact source
When users share Medallia Voices comments, they are given the option to select one or more people to receive the email. Medallia Voices suggests people associated with the unit tied to the survey record, and based on the Medallia Voices Suggested contacts configuration. Once selected the user taps Congratulate or Forward to open the email composer, where the user can change the recipients, email subject, or add a personal message.
The Voices Suggested Contacts screen in Setup defines the source information for each contact displayed in the list, and it defines how the system chooses the contacts to list. Each suggested contact displays an email address, and optionally includes the contact's name, and title. The information is drawn from the survey record and the unit associated with the record.
You can define a contact source on the:
-
Reporting > Report Helpers > Mobile > Voices Suggested Contacts screen in Medallia Setup, or
-
Mobile > Mobile Configuration > Voices Suggested Contacts screen in Medallia Admin Suite:
To define a contact source:
-
Click Create to begin creating a source.
-
In the Email address field property, choose the survey record field that contains the email address of the contact. This should be a unit data field or a unit group data field.
Important:Medallia Experience Cloud only considers the data associated with a Unit ID (
e_unitid).To show unit data fields from non-Unit IDs (e_unitid fields) when you have multiple unit fields, create K-fields.
-
Click Save to create the contact definition.
-
Assign the Priority for this source. Lower numbers are chosen first.
-
Optionally, in the Full name field and Title field properties choose the fields that provide the contact's name and title.
-
Provide a Default Title to use when the title cannot be found in the field, or when there is no field selection.
-
Click Save to finish defining the contact source.
When Medallia Voices requests the suggested list, the system iterates through the list of definitions in priority order, selecting contacts where an email address is available for the survey record. If no contacts are available, Medallia Voices opens an empty Suggested People screen, where the user can tap Congratulate or Forward and then enter a contact manually.
