Reporting

  • Updates to enable the transfer behavior between linked reports:

    • Added support for Dial and Big Number modules: When these modules have a linked report set up and the Question or Score filter is configured on the linked destination dashboard, it automatically filters to the score field the user clicked on in the originating Dial or Big Number module.

    • In the Scores Over Time module, a new Enable Score Filter Override checkbox has been added to the Metrics section:

      • When Use default for Metrics has been configured, enabling this control allows the Scores Over Time module to be filtered by a user's selection in the Question or Score filter.

      • When this checkbox is disabled, the Scores Over Time module continues to display all of the metrics available to the role within their Question or Score filter instead of the user's singular selection.

      • Note that Reporting Calculated fields (R-fields) cannot be added to a role's Question or Score filter

  • Reporting updates were made to the UI/display of linked reports that open in

    • Linked reports that open in a side panel automatically open in the expanded width.
    • The Control panel displays all filters that have been set on the dashboard.
    • Minor accessibility and text alignment improvements.

  • Reporting users can now assign alerts to themselves with just one click. The Assign Alerts Reporting permission now offers reporting users two options: Assign to me or Reassign Alert. Previously, it was only possible to Reassign Alert and select themselves if they wanted to assign it to themselves. For more information, see Alerts & Action.

  • New Data section on the Report editor to be used on the records shown on the module itself. The filters configured with this option cannot be overwritten by any selection on the control panel by the reporting user. There are two options:

    • Basic Data filter — It works with AND operators only. The filtering criteria is transferred to click-through reports, if configured. Note this is only available for the new Report editor.

    • Advanced Data filter — It can be configured with more Boolean operators. Configured filters will not apply to linked targets. This is available for the new and previous Report editor.

Sandboxes

Surveys

  • : Survey engagement tracking statistics such as survey start time, browser identification, and whether the survey was opened is now tracked after the survey application has finished loading on the survey taker's browser. This is a change from prior releases where statistics were tracked when the initial survey page request was received by Medallia's servers, such as when an answer option was selected from the survey taker's email (using Quick Start). This change addresses the increase in email link scanners which caused a number of false positive statistics. Clients may see a shift in statistics going forward, with the newer statistics reflecting a more accurate picture of engagement

Text Analytics

  • Topic List now has more filtering capabilities and a summary panel for surfacing topic details.
