Release Highlights

Admin Suite

  • Improved the report for Connector history in Admin Suite. Note that these enhancements are expected to be available in Medallia GovCloud in calendar year 2024.

  • The Integrated Report editor has numerous usability and UI improvements in this release. Additionally the new editor becomes the default for report editing. Admins still have option to opt back into the legacy Report editor when necessary.

Ask Now

  • A new Ask Now is now available as part of an Early Adopter Program. Ask Now allows you to quickly add and remove a page of questions to your existing surveys so you can get new insights quickly. This version allows you to ask unlimited questions on your Ask Now page, choosing from 11 different question types, and leveraging survey logic like in-page conditioning. Question translations, reporting, and Text Analytics are included out of the box.

Integrations

  • Import API v2 asynchronous methods. A new version of the Import APIs (also known Web feeds) allows API users to retrieve the processing results of inbound requests. These APIs enable the following functionality and API user flow:

    • API users can now see a unique ID returned when making an API request.

    • API users can use this unique ID to query aggregate stats like number of records successfully processed or discarded.

    • API users can view detailed processing results for each record in an API request, such as what field values successfully processed records are set to or what the error reasons are for discarded records.

    • This set of APIs is also limited to Web feeds on Feed file mode. Web feeds that are set to a concurrent processing mode or utilize advanced features such as grouping or pre-processors are out of scope for this API. Future releases will address coverage of these Web feed settings.

  • X-Stats is a statistical tool that empowers analysts to discover meaningful insights and trends in their data via descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and regression analyses.

    • A new role permission allows users of that role to set up and manage all aspects of the X-Stats configuration.

    • The X-Stats tile is available in Admin Suite to configure the dataset (fields and time period of records) to be used with X-Stats.

    • The X-Stats report and corresponding module can be added to dashboards in Web Navigation.

    • Ability to initiate X-Stats dataset updates in Admin Suite at any time.

    • Ability to edit existing Projects.

    • UI updates for increased end-user visibility into the admin-defined dataset.

    • Filter information displayed on Projects and analysis cards.

  • The Report editor interface has been improved to better streamline the editing process.

Reporting

  • Admins can now choose the color scheme for MAX chart visualizations by selecting one of 5 pre-defined palettes. From Setup > Company > Branding > Application Branding, the new Color palette for MAX charts option sets an unmodifiable scheme of colors for all users. The palettes are:
    • Medallia default palette.

    • Qualitative palette.

    • Rainbow palette.

    • Accessible palette.

    • Blue sequential palette.

Note that users who enable the High Contrast mode on Accessibility settings always see the Accessible palette, regardless of the branding palette set by the admin.

  • A new EDR Summary item in the User settings menu gives super admins access to a productized report on Experience Data Record volumes.

  • : To decrease unnecessary traffic and improve performance, some newly added reporting modules have a configurable cache interval time (in hours) by default. Reporting data refreshes automatically on a periodic basis and the last updated time is now displayed.

Users can click the refresh icon to see up-to-date data. For any modules that should always show up-to-date data, admins should select No Cache.

Sandboxes

  • The new Compatibility mode setting lets admins choose whether a sandbox previews new features before their production release, or stays in step with production.

Social

  • Admins can now upload in a bulk mode the URLs for the Social Sources from where they can collect the reviews from.

  • Admins can now be notified — through the Notification center — when reviews are not being collected due to missing authorization. Admins should then re-authorize to resume collection.

Speech

  • A new connector with Genesys Cloud contact centers imports the email transcripts between agents and customers for analysis.

Restriction: This feature is not available on Medallia GovCloud. Contact your Medallia representative for more information.

Surveys

  • The Survey editor now has additional keyboard navigation options to make it more accessible, including making summary panel tabs and survey details navigable by keyboard.

  • When adding a text input to a choice set item, the text input field is now named differently to enable finding and understanding these fields more easily. The automatic name assigned to the text input field is the wording of the question, followed by a dash, followed by the text of the choice set item. For example, What is your favorite color - other.

  • After recording LivingLens feedback, survey takers are prompted to upload the recording the first time they try to leave the survey page (either after clicking next or finish).
