Step 13 - Create your Snapshot

The Recent Changes page shows a list of any unreleased changes in your Space. The list includes new, updated and deleted items that have not yet been published.

You create a snapshot by pushing your recent changes to the Launchpad.

The Launchpad is a pre-release area that holds a snapshot of your changes ready for publishing to the live environment. Changes on the Launchpad are placed in a locked state and can be reviewed, tested and published.

Creating a snapshot does not release the changes in that snapshot. To release the changes, you must make the snapshot "live."

To create a snapshot

  1. In MXO, choose Test & Publish.
  2. Select Recent Changes. The Recent Changes page shows any changes in your Space than have not been published.
  3. Select the changes you want to publish and click Push to Launchpad.
  4. In the Push your changes to the Launchpad dialog box, enter a name for the snapshot you want to create. For this practice optimization, enter Test Web Optimization.
  5. Click Push to Launchpad.
  6. Click OK. A snapshot is created and added to the Launchpad page.
