Step 8 - Define Where to Personalize Content

In MXO, create the Optimization Points required to display personalized content based on customer interest. As part of this process, you will also create two new Viewpoints, to ensure MXO displays the right content, in the right place, on-screen. You will assign these Viewpoints to the assets you created earlier.

To create your Optimization Points

Create your new Optimization Points under the "FirstFragment" Interaction Point.

For the purposes of this exercise, you will create two Optimization Points, as follows:

  1. In MXO, choose Collect.
  2. Select Touchpoints.
  3. Select the app Touchpoint you created earlier.Mobile - Android Step 8a
  4. Select the "FirstFragment" Interaction Point.Mobile - Android Step 8b
  5. Click the Add icon for Online Optimization Points.
  6. Ensure the Optimization Point is turned on.
  7. Enter the details for your new Optimization Point, as described in the table above. For example:

    Note: You will need to Create New Viewpoints.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Repeat these steps to create your second Optimization Point.

When you have created both Optimization Points, you can view them in the main MXO UI.

To assign the correct Viewpoint with each Asset

Assign the correct Viewpoint to each Asset you created earlier, to ensure the right asset is displayed in the right place on-screen.

For the purposes of this exercise, you assign Viewpoints to Assets, as follows:

  1. In MXO, choose Orchestrate.
  2. Select Assets.
  3. Select the asset to which you want assign a Viewpoint.
  4. In the Viewpoints section, select the viewpoint to the Asset, as described in the table above. For example:Mobile - Android Step 8e
  5. Click Save.

The Viewpoint assigned to the Asset is displayed in the Assets list, as follows:
