Opt-out rules
Feedback > Surveying > Inviting > Opt-out Rules
Opt-out rules identify records that need to be permanently included in the Opt-out records list. Opt-out rule processing happens before testing the new invitation against the existing opt-out record values. See Opt-outs screen for a more detailed description of the process.
As survey records enter sampling, Medallia Experience Cloud evaluates each record against the set of Opt-out rules. If a record meets the condition of one of the rules, Experience Cloud creates one or more opt-out records from the information in the survey record. There is one opt-out record for each Sampling Field Setups that has data in the survey record. In this example, no record is created for IP Address because there was no data in the matching field in the survey record.

When using Auto Importer to load opt-out records, ensure the data is processed appropriately. For example, if case-sensitivity is not an issue for the fields, consider transforming the fields to all lower-case during import. Otherwise, verify the fields always use the same case considerations for all import feeds.
This does not affect fields of type EMAIL.
