Question libraries

Question libraries are a collection of different pages, content groups, and elements from existing surveys that kick-starts the building of new surveys. By leveraging previously created content, you can reuse content to follow the industry and your company's best practices.

For example, consider a B2C retail program that includes different surveys for both in-store and web channels, each with a targeted survey structure and questions. If that program expands to measure the in-app channel using a new survey, you may leverage some of the existing content elements and pages already created for the web survey applicable to the in-app channel. To do so, create a Retail B2C library that contains all the web channel surveys and/or their pages, groups and elements to leverage them when building your in-app survey.

Create and manage libraries

Complete these steps to create a new library:

  1. From the Question libraries screen, click New library.

  2. Enter a name for the library and, optionally, a description.

  3. Click Continue.

Click the Question library menu to:

Edit library details
Edits the library name and description, if any.
Delete
Removes the library.

Create and manage assets

You can add survey assets to libraries either from an existing library on the Question libraries screen or from preview canvas on the Survey editor.

Add an asset from an existing library

  1. From the existing library, click New asset.

  2. Choose an asset. To do so, scroll down to see all the existing assets, select an asset type to filter down results, or enter some keywords on the search bar to find a specific asset. For example, entering Retail shows all the libraries that contain assets with the word Retail on it.

  3. Optionally, select Reuse fields to assign the Question ID from the existing selected asset to the one being added. For more information, see Reusing existing questions.

  4. Click Select.

Add an asset from the survey editor:

  1. From the Surveys screen, select the survey that contains the asset you want to add (page, group, content element, etc.).

  2. On the preview canvas, choose the element to add and click its Ellipsis (more vertical) icon. menu.

  3. Select Add to library.

  4. Complete:

    1. Confirm or give the asset name.

    2. Optionally, enter a description.

    3. Optionally, select Reuse fields to assign the Question ID from the existing selected asset to the one being added.

    4. Choose the library to add the asset to.

  5. Click Save.
