Tooltip

A Tooltip is an icon that expands or further explains a question so that survey takers can effectively answer it. When survey takers mouse over the Help icon tooltip, either a text message or an image is displayed giving contextual reference. For example, you might use a tooltip to highlight a code on a store receipt.

Tooltip content type

Tooltip can be displayed in two ways:

  • Text — Input a custom text string that should appear when hovering over the Help icon tooltip.

    Tip: This text string is translatable under Shared survey text.

  • Image — Enter a custom image URL or upload an image from a local device.

Once the tooltip element is added, enter the image URL directly in the text box to specify an image hosted inside or outside Experience Cloud.

Click Choose file to upload an image from a local device. Note that the survey editor automatically populates the the Image URL field with the internal URL image reference. Optionally (though advisable), include an Alternative text when using image options in tooltips.

To change the file, click Delete icon Delete and upload a new image.

Note: The recommended size for the header image is 600 x 150 px. Header supports JPG, GIF, and PNG file formats and file size can be up to 2 MB. For more information, see Logos.
