Define metrics

How to define metrics available for impact calculations.

To define the metrics available to users configuring impact analysis in Action plans, navigate to Reporting> Action Plans Settings> Metrics in Medallia Admin Suite, and complete the following steps:

  1. Select Create and the following screen opens:
    Create a new action plan metric
  2. Enter a Name for the metric, as it should appear to users in action plans.
  3. Select the type of Calculation to perform for the metric.
  4. Select a numeric Field to use as the basis for the metric.
  5. Optionally, configure other properties for the metric, as described in Properties on the Metrics screen.
  6. Optionally, add a filter to the metric before the calculation is applied with the FieldKey and FieldQueryValue, properties, or the FieldQueryFilter property for complex filters that query more than one field.
    For example, you might want a metric that shows the count of records needing attention. In this example, you would not select a score Field, since the calculation is a count of all records. The FieldKey would be defined as a_attention_flag::seqnum, and the FilterQueryValue would be 1 (which is the sequence number for a value of Yes).

The new metric appears on the list of metrics.
