Microsoft Azure Monitor
The Microsoft Azure Monitor integration allows you to link DXA session replays with Azure Monitor.
Use cases

- Access DXA data metrics for a session, such as DXS, from Azure Monitor
Prerequisites

The DXA browser extension must be installed on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Note: For more information, see Digital Experience Analytics Browser Extension. -
To use telemetry data to allow custom data, such as session details, to be sent to Azure, use the Azure Application Insights JavaScript SDK.Note: For more information, see Sending telemetry to the Azure portal in the Microsoft Azure Monitor Documentation.
Enabling the Azure Monitor integration
-
In a tag manager, add a data layer variable or a global JavaScript variable using the DXA session ID integration function.
Note: For more information, see Session ID. - In Azure Monitor, add the JavaScript SDK.Note: For more information, see in the Microsoft Azure Monitor Documentation.
-
In Azure Monitor, configure a telemetry initializer to send the DXA Session ID back to Azure Monitor.Note: For more information, see Telemetry initializers in the Microsoft Azure Documentation.
When the DXA session ID is captured and displayed in Azure Monitor, the DXA browser extension will link it to the session replay.
