You change the default survey domain for your surveys in cases where you have more than one domain configured for your account.

A default survey domain applies to the survey domain that is used in your survey preview, survey invitations, survey reminders, survey partial reminders, links in notifications, and report share links.

In the email invitation builder, you can choose to send the email from a different email address depending on the email domains configured in your account. Preferably, when sending an email invitation, you want the survey domain to be the same as the email domain from which emails are sent.

For example, by default, all survey links will start with https://[dataregion].mar.medallia.com. When you have one or more custom domains (e.g., feedback.mybank.com or feedback.mycompany.com), you can configure your survey to use one of these domains. Or if you want to conduct your survey using a link that is not tied to your company, you can use mar.medallia,.com.
