QuickView features in ReportBuilder
The QuickView report was designed to offer a fast, but limited, view of your survey results. The ReportBuilder replaces QuickView and can do everything plus more.
Opening a basic report
Opening the ReportBuilder only takes one click more than opening the QuickView. You can create different types of reports. Open the basic report by completing the following steps:
- Open your survey.
- Select Analyze.

Select Reports.

Click Create report.

Select Basic report.
The basic report offers a simple view of the results, often using just one element per question. It will look the most like the old QuickView.
Opening a smart report
The smart report is much smarter report that the basic report and aims to give you more insights into the data already by using a combination of elements, applying breakouts automatically, etc.
This report is much better when you really want to dive deep into the results and gain actionable insights. This is the report that is offered by default in the reports overview when you select Analyze > Reports for the first time.
- Open your survey.
- Select Analyze.

Select Reports.
- Select the first report in the list.
All of the options that are explained in this article are available for both the basic and smart reports. The only difference is the basis from which you start.
Filter results
In QuickView, you could click inside charts to filter the results. In the ReportBuilder, you can use the Filter bar and use the dropdowns to filter your reports.
To add other questions or fields, click the plus icon. In the pop-up that appears, select the questions and fields you want to filter on and click OK.
The filter bar is not visible when you're editing the report. If you're in edit mode (Builder), click View & Analyze to open the Viewer.

Editing a report
By default, when you open a report, you're in view mode (Report Viewer). To edit the report, use either of these methods:

If you're in the Report Viewer, click Edit report in the toolbar.

On mobile, click the use the 3 dots menu and select Edit.

From the list of reports, select Actions > Edit.
Downloading reports or raw data
To download your report or raw data, click the download icon in the toolbar. You can download the report as a PDF or PowerPoint file. Also, you can download all raw data matching your current filters.
Sharing reports
You can share reports with others using ReportBuilder. You can also create multiple shared reports with different filters.To share a report, complete the following steps:
- Click the share icon in the toolbar. On mobile devices, select Share from the three dots menu. In edit mode (Builder), select Share from the cogwheel menu.
- Click Add share. Optionally, configure some share options and click Create share.

Copy the share link and send it to the person with whom you want to share the report.

Changing languages
In ReportBuilder, you can change report languages using a dropdown. .On mobile devices, you can find this in the three dots menu.
You can manage the available languages in the ReportBuilder by completing the following steps:
- Edit your report.
- Select Report from the cogwheel menu.

Select the Languages tab to add or remove languages and change the default language.
Excluding questions from reports
In ReportBuilder, you can hide elements or even permanently delete them from your report.
To start, edit the report. Then select the element you want to delete or hide. You can do this by clicking the element itself or the item in the table of contents. On the right, you'll see a panel with all details of this element.
You can either delete an element or temporarily hide it.
To delete an element, select Delete element from the three dots menu.
To temporarily hide an element, which prevents an element from being visible in the Report Viewer, complete the following steps:

Select the Style tab.

Scroll down to the Display section.

Select Hidden from the In Report Viewer option.
Changing the chart type
In the old QuickView, you could change the chart type, for example from a pie chart to a column chart. This works differently in the ReportBuilder, since there are more possibilities. You can create multiple charts for the same question. For example, you could show a gauge for an NPS question, together with a timeline with the evolution of that NPS value.
To add another element for the same question, complete the following steps:

Edit the report.

Click Add element.

Select the quesiton and element type.
You can also delete the existing element.
Changing colors
In ReportBuilder, you can change chart colors. You can even use some presets, like positive to negative colors, the default theme colors or custom colors. You can change the style of a single element or even the whole report. To change the style of an element, complete the following steps:

Edit your report.

Click the element to open the properties pane.

Select the Style tab.

Select from the chart colors in the Colors section.
To change the style of the entire report, select Style from the cogwheel menu. Select colors from the Elements tab.

Changing the order of chart data
In ReportBuilder, you can change the order of chart data. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Edit the report.
- Click the element to open the properties pane.
- Select the Settings tab.
- In the Results section, use the Order by dropdown.
Changing data labels
You can change data labels for questions in the question editor. You can find the question editor by opening a survey and selecting Questions. Select Edit from the dropdown for that question. Change the data label in Settings.
Saving a chart as an image
In ReportBuilder, you can save a chart as an image. To do this, move your mouse over an element and select Save as image from the three dots menu.
On mobile devices, click the image and select Save as image from the three dots menu.
If you are in ReportBuilder, select an element. On the right side of the properties pane, select Save as image from the three dots menu.
Sharing or embedding a chart
You can share a report in ReportBuilder by completing the following steps:

Edit your report.

Select the element.

On the right side of the properties pane, select Embed from the three dots menu.

Optionally, change the embed configuration and click Generate code. A snippet of HTML is generated, and you can use this to embed the element on any website.
