Review requests to join your community

You need Admin permission to perform this task. See Permissions and access levels for details.

In a private (closed) community, people must be approved to become members of the community. People who respond to an invitation from your community are automatically approved when they respond to the invitation and register. Other Medallia Ideas users may request to join your community.

The Requests tab lists people who have requested to join your community.

User Management > Requests tab showing three "Requested" (user) names

The list shows either people who have Requested to join, or it can show people who have previously been Denied their request. Change the set with the Show selector.

New requests have the option to Invite (approve) the request, or Decline (deny) the request. Previously denied people may subsequently be approved.

  1. Go to Admin menu > User Management > Requests tab.
  2. Select the Show option: Requested or Denied.
  3. For each user:
    ActionOutcome
