Leave a community or delete my account

As a member of a Medallia Ideas community, you have a Ideas account, even if you have signed in using social media credentials or an organizational username and password (single sign on). Your account allows you to sign in into one or more Medallia Ideas communities. If you decide to leave a community, you can be removed from that community or you can completely delete your Ideas account.

Leaving a community

To leave one of the community and still keep your Medallia Ideas account, contact the administrator of that community (email or private message) and request to be removed.

Being removed from a community doesn't delete your postings, unless you explicitly ask the administrator to remove your content when removing you from the community.

Once you have been removed, if the community is Closed (private) you will no longer be able to sign into that community; if the community is Open (public) you will still be able to see the community, but you wont be able to post an idea, vote or comment without re-joining the community.

Deleting your Ideas Account

To completely delete your entire Medallia Ideas account, contact the Medallia support team. A member of the team will respond to you to confirm that your request and delete your account within 7 working days.

Important: For verification, contact Support using the email address you used when registering with Medallia Ideas. If you no longer have access to this, please let support know in your request.

When your account has been deleted, the posts that you have made in a Medallia Ideas community will still be visible, but your account will not be attached to them: the idea will still be there but there will be no name on the idea.

Deleting your account doesn't delete your postings, unless you explicitly ask the administrator to remove your content prior to your account being deleted.
