Removing elements from the table of contents

You can hide an element in the table of contents. This means that while the element will still be available in the report, it will no longer be mentioned in the left-hand pane. This way, you can simplify and personalize the table of contents so that it only mentions, for example, the titles of each report section or only the most important charts. To hide an element from the table of contents, complete the following steps:

  1. Open your survey.
  2. Edit the report that contains the element you want to remove from the table of contents.
  3. Select the element.
  4. Select the Style tab.

  5. Locate the setting In table of contents and select Hidden.

Now the element will no longer be mentioned in the table of contents in the Viewer. In the Editor, the element will be in a lighter grey so that you can still easily locate it when you wish to make adjustments to it.

Note: Hiding an element from the table of contents is not the same as removing it entirely from the Viewer. To hide an element from the Viewer, see Hiding report elements in the Viewer.
