Rapid Response settings
Reporting > Action > Rapid Response > Settings
The Settings screen configures Enhanced responses. Be mindful when using these settings carefully since they modify the way companies interact with their respondents, and a misconfiguration can cause undesired messages to be sent.
Properties
- From email address
-
Regardless whether you are using Enhanced responses or not:
- If the value is not blank, all Rapid response emails from this company are sent from the specified email. The email address must use a domain configured in Email domains.
The domain entered must be the same as the domain set on the instance. However, you may use a different email address for the survey emails and for the Rapid response. For example, survey emails use donotreply@masking.mycompany.com and Rapid responses use responses@masking.mycompany.com.
- If the value is blank, all Rapid Response emails are sent from noreply@app.medallia.com by default.
- If Email masking is set up on the instance, you may enter an email address using the existing masked domain.Restriction: This feature is inactive by default. Ask your Medallia expert to file a Feature activation request with Medallia Support.Restriction: Email masking for Rapid response is available when:
- Feedback records are from surveys. Medallia Social Feedback and Medallia Conversations records are not supported.
- Only one email masked domain is used.
In either case, emails sent to respondents through Rapid Response use a masked email address. Respondents do not see a user's email address unless the user has their email address included in the signature at the end of the email. Ensure that emails are being sent from the Medallia-managed domain, such as
express. [datacenter name].medallia.[top-level domain], for exampleexpress.sea1.medallia.com.Emails sent to and from respondents are captured in the Activity log.
- Enable CC field in Enhanced Rapid Response Mode
-
Enables the CC field in Enhanced Rapid Responses. When this feature is on, users can add other user accounts (and external email addresses) to communications with respondents.
- Enable CC field in Standard Rapid Response Mode
-
Enables the CC field in Standard Rapid Responses. When this feature is on, users can add other accounts (and external email addresses) to a response to a survey taker.
- Spell Checking Enabled
Activate to add a spell-check feature to the Feedback Response email authoring screen, so when users respond to feedback, they can check their spelling before sending the email. It also specifies fields that should not be called out as misspelled by the spell checker.
- Private Mode in Enhanced Rapid Response Mode
-
Enables the Private mode for response tracking communications. In this mode, the respondents cannot see who has been copied on the response or read any of the responses sent by those on the CC line. This is helpful when you need to discuss issues with colleagues in private before following up with the respondent.
- Require e_email for Rapid Response
-
When selected, the email field must have a value for the Respond button to appear. See Rapid Response emails for more information about configuring the email address field and template used for Rapid Responses.
- Make Email Settings Editable by Users
- When on, the Email Settings pop-up appear; the Name and Email fields in Email Settings are automatically populated with the values of the user's First and Last name and Email fields. Turn this on to ensure that all accounts using Rapid Response have a valid value for the Email field, else Rapid Responses might not work properly.
- Hide email addresses from View Read by Others
- When on, email addresses do not appear in the View Read by Others. This property is used only with Medallia Alchemy Experience Reporting.
- Results per Page
-
Sets the number of records that appear per page on the Responses and Invitation Filters reports. The default is 25.
- Field to notify default users in comment
- When a user mentions a unit in a comment on Responses Form reports or Responses Feed modules, users associated with that unit are notified. This property specifies the Unit data field to use for mapping units to users for the purpose of those comment notifications. Unless instructed by a Medallia expert to change the value, leave this property set to Unit username relation, which references the users listed in the Unit username relation property on the Company > Units > Units screen.
