User groups

Subsets of users within the community.

User groups identify members of a Medallia Ideas community as belonging to a common category. They allow you to send targeted emails, set up challenges for an exclusive selection of people, and can add value to the available user activity information.

User groups aren't visible to users; they are only to administrators. Users are not notified that they are added to, or removed from a group.

Create and manage groups, and the groups users belong to, on the Manage Users tab. The names of any existing groups appear on the right side of the page. Each label includes a number indicating how many users are members of the group.

When viewing a user record on the Manage users tab, the groups the user belongs to (if any) appear below the user's email address. To remove a user from a group, click the 'x' next to the group name. In this example the user belongs to two groups: Executive Committee and Moderators.

Administrators can add specific users to a group. And users can automatically be assigned to a group by Dynamic groups.
