Change group membership in bulk

Change the membership of multiple members of a group at one time.

You need Admin permission to perform this task. See Permissions and access levels for details.

You can add or remove multiple users to or from a user group using the Bulk group change option and providing their email addresses per the steps below.

To make changes to a user's inclusion in a group, see Add existing users to a group and Remove a user from a group.

Restriction: This feature does not work on dynamic groups. because membership in those groups is determined by user profile attributes, the values of which cannot be changed by an administrator.
  1. Go to Admin Setup > User Management > Manage Users.

  2. Click Tool > Bulk group change.
    The Tool icon is located in the edit column of the row above the first user listed.

    The Bulk group change dialog appears.
  3. Enter the Email addresses of the user accounts to change.
    Either add one email address per line or add them on the same line, separated by commas.

  4. Choose the Action to perform.
    • Add to group
    • Remove from group
  5. Choose the Group to alter.
  6. Click Update Users.
The groups is now changed.
