System Management Permissions
System Management Access is defined in the Users section of the Launchpad. This controls the permissions that a user has for the System Management user interface. The options are as follows:
None - No access. This is the default. A message will appear, indicating "You are not authorized to view this page."
View - The user can see all data in the user interface, but cannot perform any actions (core instance failover, stopping/starting instances and components). The user will not see the Manage Components box or have the ability to select components.
Control - The user has full control. The user can see all data in the user interface and can perform all actions (core instance failover, stopping/starting instances and components).
Access to the System Management user interface is controlled by the Authorization Web Service. It is possible to manage the system without the Authorization Web Service, but it is not recommended for production deployments. If there is no Authorization Web Service configured, all users have "Control" access.
