Resources Library

Use the Resources Library to manage images and custom CSS that you are using in Digital by uploading, previewing, deleting, and viewing where resources are being used.

With the Resources Library enabled, the media management paradigm is shifted from "Upload media asset per form" to "Upload once; reuse everywhere".

To access the Resources Library, select Automation > Resources Library from the menu in the left-hand panel in Digital.

When working with the resources library, note the following:

  • It is not possible to override files in the resources library.
  • Currently there is no option to bulk apply a custom CSS file to multiple forms via the resources library.
  • Only resources that are not in use can be deleted.

Based on this, when a change is made such as uploading a new version of a resource that is in use by one or more surveys, you must update each relevant survey to use the new uploaded file. For example, often the custom CSS file is in use by multiple surveys across a property. After uploading an updated version of the custom CSS file, remember to update each of the surveys that use this custom CSS file to get the updated version. If this step is missed then you could see some unexpected changes in surveys.

Uploading an asset

Click Upload File to select a file for upload into the Resources Library.

You can upload only one file at a time. Supported formats include JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and CSS; the maximum size of a file is 2MB.

Using an asset

When the Resources Library has been enabled, the file upload feature in the survey editor is replaced by a dropdown (see the dropdown for the Add Image field in the following image). Select the resource from the dropdown to add it to the Resources Library.

Note: Because of the secure nature of Dynamic Hybrid Hosting, resources uploaded to the resource library must be deployed to your network hosting space before they can be used.
