Digital is included with a company's instance of Medallia Experience Cloud and feedback flows in as a signal. Manage the Digital parts of an experience program using the Digital Command Center. To navigate to the Digital Command Center the Experience Cloud user requires access to Medallia Admin Suite.

To open the Digital Command Center, in the top right click the user name and under Admin select Admin Suite. Users set up with Digital capabilities see the Digital tile on the Admin Home screen under Additional Signals.

To access the Digital Command Center, Single Sign-On (SSO) between Medallia Experience Cloud and Digital is based on email address. If the current logged in user is not registered with an email address in Medallia Experience Cloud, SSO between Medallia Experience Cloud and Digital does not work.

Note: Earlier versions of Digital required that you log in using an email address and password that you registered with or that you received from your account administrator. See your Medallia expert for additional information.

To see the Digital tile on the Admin Home screen, the currently logged in user must have the Digital Admin permission assigned at the role level and the role with the Digital Admin permission must be the primary role. For instances with active role enabled, the Digital tile appears based on the active role.

To collect feedback from your app using Digital, the app requires an authorization token that references the property. The authorization token is unique to the property and is available from the Digital Command Center. Once the token is added to the app, the experience program can be modified by the administrator without further changes required from the development team. For more information, see SDK integration.

To get started with collecting feedback once Digital is integrated into your app you need to have some survey forms ready to trigger. Administrators use the Digital Command Center to manage the experience program's feedback collection.

Preparing surveys overview

The main steps of preparing to use Digital to collect feedback are:

  1. Choose the type of survey trigger that you want to integrate into your app. The type of trigger influences some of the options available, such as targeting, but doesn't impact the following steps.
  2. Create or edit a survey form with this type of trigger. Digital includes a wide range of components to collect feedback with your experience program.
  3. Preview the survey to verify it with your team before publishing.
  4. Retrieve the survey's form ID, for example from the list survey view. The development team add the form ID to the app. Before the survey is published, it isn't visible in the app.
  5. Choose who receives the survey using Digital's targeting options available for the type of trigger being used.
  6. When it's time, publish the survey using the toggle. At this point any app integrating Digital can trigger the survey based on its form ID.
