Ask Now

Ask Now adds some temporary questions to existing surveys, which are displayed together on a new page of an existing survey. Adding questions quickly and easily allows you to get rapid feedback about new ideas.

Ask Now is particularly helpful to:

  • Dive deeper — Capture feedback about an issue being actively discussed. The ability to add questions within minutes makes this type of research possible within Medallia Experience Cloud.

  • Test new concepts — Gauge survey takers' reactions to pilot programs before introducing them on a larger scale. Validating the success of pilots with Ask Now minimizes the risk and cost associated with trying out new ideas.

  • Empower the organization — Cater questions to a unique respondents base, such as people who visit certain stores. This flexibility can be especially helpful if the company caters to multiple markets and has multiple brands or franchises.

To use and access Ad Hoc surveys, see Access Signal capture.

Important: The Ask Now version documented here is configurable in Admin Suite, and it supersedes an older version of Ask Now. You can still access and edit Ask Now tests from the older version that have at least one response.

Add Ask Now to a survey

Ask Now questions are displayed together on the Ask Now page of an existing survey, occupying their own separate page. There is no limit to the number of Ask Now pages you can run at once; when a survey taker qualifies for more than one Ask Now, Experience Cloud randomly assigns a single one to them. You can restrict each Ask Now to a specific survey or audience, for example, premium members who have visited a specific store.

For more information, see Ask Now page.

Ask Now screen

The Ask Now screen lists all the available Ask Now for that particular company instance. Items with unpublished changes show a red dot on the left side of the list. Ask Now are sorted by the last modified date and can be filtered by the feedback status.
