Attributes
Attributes are data points available to MXO that can be collected during customer interactions with your brand. This includes values from page elements, customer inputs on websites and apps, and data from URL/API parameters or cookies.
MXO comes with predefined Customer and Activity Attributes when a Space is created. You can also define new Attributes to gather customer information relevant to your engagement strategy. For details, see Packages.
Attribute Capture and Utilization Considerations
Data attributes categorized as Customer or Activity Attributes in MXO are essential for orchestration and decision-making. Customer Attributes, such as name and preferences, are included in the customer profile, whereas Activity Attributes pertain to customer interactions and are attached to the interaction record. Note that Activity Attributes cannot be used as Keys and are limited to 40 unique attributes per interaction.
Available Data Attribute Types
- Text
- Attributes that store string data.
- Boolean
- Attributes that store true or false values.
- Numeric
- Attributes that store numerical data.
What values can I capture for Boolean Attributes?
Boolean attributes recognize 'true', 't', 'yes', 'y', 'on', or '1' as true, with all other values being false. Case is not considered.
What are Key Attributes?
A key attribute is a unique identifier used by MXO to recognize a customer at any Touchpoint. Multiple key attributes can be defined within a Space, all linked to a single TID, which facilitates tracking a customer's journey across various Touchpoints and Channels.
Key attributes, marked with a key icon in the Attributes interface and the Data Item Picker, are used for identifying customers and creating Eligibility Rules.
