Form Details

Form Details displays metrics about a form and associated form fields, such as the level of user engagement and abandonment on the form and a list of encountered Experience Issues.

Viewing Form Details

In Analyze Forms, click View details button View details for the form.Form Details

Form tab

The following metrics are available for the form:

Form experience score

Average Experience Score for visitors interacting with the form.

This metric shows the score for visitors who completed and did not complete the form.

Engagement rate

Percentage of visitors who interacted with the form.

This metric also displays the total number of views, i.e. visitors who had the form in their view.

Abandonment ratePercentage of visitors who started the form without finishing, including the percentage abandoning with and without validation errors.
Error rate

Percentage of visitors who encountered form errors.

This metric also includes details about users who encountered one or more errors with the average number of errors.

Completion ratePercentage of visitors who completed the form with and without encountering errors.
Completion timeAverage time visitors take to complete the form with without encountering errors.

Fields tab

The Fields tab displays the following details for fields associated with the form:

ActionsClick the down-arrow button to see further metrics.You can click on any of the underlined metrics to see the session replays of users who match that metric, while you can also export the session data of any sessions matching the selected metric.

Alongside the details listed in the table above, the Actions button displays the following details:

Note: For details about a metric, hover over the tooltip to the right of the metric name.
  • ENGAGED — Number of visitors who interacted with the form field (for example, typing or clicking in the field) in the selected date range

  • DELAY — Average length of time between a visitor clicking or touching the field and entering information

  • TIME SPENT — Average length of time visitors spend on the field

  • CHANGE RATE — Percentage of visitors returning to a field to amended the entry

  • COMPLETION RATE — Percentage of visitors that completed the field

  • ABANDONMENT RATE — Percentage of visitors who engaged with a field without entering a value

  • ERRORS — Average number of validation errors occurring in the element

  • ERROR RATE — Percentage of visitors receiving errors on a field

  • Completion time — Average length of time visitors take to complete the field with the minimum and maximum completion times

Pages tab

The Pages tab in Form Details allows you to see which pages DXA has collected data for the respective form on. This is particularly useful if you have a number of similarly named forms and want to make sense of where these were collected from.

Exporting form session data to CSV

  1. In Form Details, click the metric you want to view sessions for. For example, if you want to view sessions where visitors abandoned the journey, click Abandonment rate.

    A list of corresponding sessions appears.

  2. Click Export.Export dropdown menu

  3. Click Export as CSV.

    The Export type window appears.

  4. In the Export type window, select if you want to export Sessions or Pageviews.

  5. Click Next.

    The Export name window appears.

  6. (Optional) In Please confirm the file name., rename the CSV file.

  7. In Retention, select the length of time you want to archive the CSV file.

  8. Click Export.

The data begins to export. While exporting, the data appears on the Recent exports table with a Pending status.

The exported CSV file is retained the archive for the length of time you selected. To download the CSV file, in the Actions column, click Download button Download.
