Release highlights
Medallia Admin Suite
Feedback Responses in Admin Suite provide admins the ability to configure and manage templates for emails, and social channels to close the loop on received feedback. By streamlining the feedback response templates, admins gain enhanced flexibility to create and customize these templates quickly and efficiently, which helps maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels. .
Ask Now
Ask Now has many enhancements, including many more available question types, unlimited questions, survey logic, and Medallia Text Analytics. All new Ask Now instances use the new and improved interface in Admin Suite. Existing Ask Now Tests may continue to use the old interface.
Total Experience Profiles
Admins can now include Ad Hoc survey records across all Profile modules by using the new Include data from Ad Hoc programs property, which provides greater flexibility and allows for a more customized data display. .
The Contact timeline module now supports basic or advanced data filters, allowing users to restrict the data displayed in this module regardless of the filter options applied at the dashboard level. .
Feedback
Smart Response has a new self-serve, user-friendly interface that empowers Admins to customize AI-generated responses to align with their specific communication preferences. This customization ensures that every AI-generated response reflects the brand's distinct voice and adheres to established standards, delivering a more dynamic, personalized, and consistent customer experience.
Restriction: This functionality is currently in Beta. During this early access period, clients in the Beta program can try out and test this feature, and provide feedback about it. This stage allows Medallia to refine the feature's design before its general availability. Be aware that functionality may change before then.
Integrations
Connector schedules now have a revamped UI with more and easier to use options. Previously, Connectors could be run as frequently as once per hour. With the updated UI, they may be run to a minimum interval of one minute (subject to performance evaluation). .
Apps, Sandboxes, and Change sets
These updates are applicable to Change sets:
- Outbound Change sets can now submit changes to multiple environments.
- Inbound change sets can now select the entities to reject.
- Inbound change sets has new UI features to improve the deployment flow experience.
- App installation has new UI features to improve the installation experience.

Reporting
Dashboard exports have the new option of PDF slides to download presentations in PDF format. A new option when configuring presentation exports (both PowerPoint and PDF slides) includes charts on the same row exported to a single slide. .
Significance testing can now be calculated when columns are not time slices and metric is percentage.
In Report editor, the Segment Distribution Over Time module has two new properties:
Hide Total Percentage Rows is a checkbox, available for all, and unchecked by default.
Comparison Strategy for Significance Testing has Use Benchmark option. This is configured in a new dropdown menu, which overwrites Always Compare to Non-Segment for Significance Testing when a value is selected in the new dropdown.

An Action plan can now be linked to multiple records. Linking all relevant records to an Action plan enables managers/leaders to track program initiatives better, accomplish goals set out, and enhance important KPIs related to the Action plan. .

Security
- The Audit Log API allows administrators to query recent logins, permissions changes, and other meaningful events.Restriction: This functionality is currently in Beta. Medallia Speech
Customer and industry-specific words and terms can now be inserted into Speech processing when using Voci engine, and are run directly in the model resulting in more accurate transcriptions. This reduces the need to use Substitutions for post-processing correction of repeated mis-transcriptions when commonly-used respondent words are not part of the model.
The Speech pipeline now supports video calls. If an audio file includes video, it is automatically processed and displayed in the Medallia Experience Cloud media player, and synced with audio as users play back the call or click through through the transcript or timeline. No specific configuration is required, and the existing list of supported file types for Speech includes many formats that support video.
Video playback is subject to the same default 30-day retention policy as audio, and is not available once retention expires.
Word substitutions can now be used with Amazon Transcribe ASR engine to correct repeated mis-transcriptions.
Surveys
- Cookie banner is now available at an instance-level to apply it to all surveys. Implementing Cookie banner allows survey takers to view and accept the cookies that are placed as part of the survey taking experience. This cookie banner supersedes the Cookie confirmation element.Important: This feature is restricted to certain instances. To use this feature, contact your Medallia expert.
Text entry element now has a warning message when the Character limit has been reached. This allows a survey taker using an accessibility tool like a screen reader to know when they have reached the character limit. .
Medallia Text Analytics
Athena Themes uses sentence-embedding clustering techniques and Athena generative AI to automatically identify insights (themes) within comment data, highlighting trends and reducing time to insight.

Feedback management
New Experience Programs asset migration tools organize your assets and records to improve the ease of completing common admin tasks, like configuring reports and reduce time and effort to navigate Admin Suite.

Restricted access updates
These previously announced generative AI solutions are now actively recruiting for customer testing as part of ongoing development. Contact your Medallia representative to express interest.
Intelligent Summaries
Conversational transcripts related to chat and speech interactions can be automatically summarized using Generative AI. Those summaries may be included in reporting or exports.
Engagements began in the Spring 2024 release.
