Access Control List
Add IP addresses to the ACL for SIP communication.
To communicate with Mindful via Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), your source IP address(es) must be configured in an Access Control List (ACL) on the Mindful platform. If you work with an integration provider, we will already have their source IPs in an ACL, so nothing further is required. However, if you send SIP traffic directly to Mindful, you will need to configure the source IP address or range on the Access Control List page.
You can add as many addresses as needed to the ACL, while adding or removing entries over time as your infrastructure changes.
IP addresses in the ACL can be added individually or as CIDR ranges (for example, 123.45.67.0/24, where /24 represents the prefix size).
CIDR ranges up to /20 are allowed.
For larger networks, multiple /20 ranges can be added to cover the necessary addresses.
Follow the steps below to add a new IP address or CIDR block:
On the Global Settings page (Callback > Global Settings), make sure the Require ACL for Direct SIP Access checkbox is selected.
This enables you to access the Access Control List page from the sidebar menu.
On the Access Control List page (Callback > Access Control List), click Add IP Address/CIDR Block.
Enter a descriptive name in the Name field to identify this address or range.
Enter the address or block in the IP Address/CIDR Block field.
Click Save when finished.
Back on the Access Control List page, you will see a new entry with an Activation Status of "needs-activation".
Click Activate Changes when you are ready to activate the ACL with the new address or range.
You should now see a status of "active".
To edit an existing entry, click the Edit icon in the corresponding row on the Access Control List page.
