(Internal) Company Info page
Manage organization-wide settings as a Medallia admin.
The Company Info page contains settings related to a client organization as a whole. Client administrators have access to a subset of features on this page, but much more is available to Medallia admin users (stadmins).
Each setting on the Company Info page is documented in this guide. After updating settings, click Update Company at the bottom of the page to save the changes.
Company
The Company section contains mostly the same settings that are available to client admins, with three additional settings exposed for stadmins. To learn about the settings available to client admins, see Company Info page.
- Email subject suffix
- Enter text to append to the end of email subject lines. Note that "from" will be always be prefixed to the email subject suffix even if it is not part of the subject suffix.
- Emails from
- Set the "sender" email address for outgoing emails.
- Return path email header domain
- Optionally set an alternative email domain to route bounced emails. When an email to a recipient fails (invalid address, etc.), the bounce gets routed to this domain. When the value is blank, bounced emails will be routed to the address in the Forward emails to field.
Channels
The Channels section for stadmins is identical to the client admin version. For more information, see Company Info page.
Branding
Similar to the Company section, the Branding section contains a few shared settings and a few additional settings for stadmins.
- Secondary color
- This color is auto-calculated to be black or white based on the primary color, but this can be overridden.
- Brand label (via API)
- (Only required for organizations using multiple brands) This identifier is used to process requests associated with a particular brand.
Products
This section controls whether the organization can access feedback surveys and/or QA features.
- Feedback
- Enable or disable the feedback survey feature.
- Bring your own survey
- (Only used for the MEC or Qualtrics integration) When enabled, survey configuration settings will be removed from the organization and some fields will be removed from user profiles, since surveys will be managed elsewhere.
- QA
- Enable or disable QA features, including the QA settings page and QA Dashboard.
Company admin
This section designates the main point of contact and administrator for the organization. Each organization requires a primary admin, which is the first user created when provisioning the organization. This user is placed in the default admin role but this field does not control role permissions. This user cannot be deactivated until another user is listed as the primary admin.
- Admin
- Select the main point of contact and administrator for the organization.
Company features
Some of the settings in this section enable features, while others change the behavior or capabilities of features.
- Min email response time threshold (in seconds)
-
When enabled, this field sets a threshold for discarding responses from email spam-checkers automatically clicking links in a survey email. Any responses submitted under the threshold after delivery will be considered to be email spam-checkers automatically clicking links, and will be discarded.
For example, if the threshold is set to 30 seconds, any responses submitted within 30 seconds of email delivery will be discarded. We recommend starting between 30 seconds to one minute and only increasing the value if needed.
- Survey expiration threshold (in minutes)
- QA Acknowledgements & appeals
- Enables acknowledgments and appeals for QA reviews.
- QA acknowledgements only
- Enables acknowledgments but not appeals for QA reviews. Make sure QA Acknowledgements & appeals is disabled when QA acknowledgements only is enabled.
- Additional QA data return timestamps
- Adds created_at and started_at timestamp fields for each review in the QA Data Return API.
- Additional question
- (Do not use) This setting has been deprecated and is not relevant to the current survey builder. Prior to the survey builder, this was used to add additional survey questions.
- Aircall integration
- Enables the integration with the Aircall telephony platform. Enabling this setting adds an Aircall section to the Integrations page. Clicking the button in that section will prompt you to enter the client's Aircall credentials to link the two accounts.
- Allow enabling comments for AoI/AoE and rewards
- Adds the Enable comments and Comment placeholder settings to the survey builder. These settings allow users to add a comment field beneath questions in their feedback survey.
- 1:1s
- Enables 1:1 coaching features for the organization.
- Delayed welcome emails option
- Enables the "Send delayed welcome emails" option in the Bulk Actions menu on the Manage Team page (Users tab).
- Disable performance tab
- Removes the Performance page entry from the top navigation bar.
- Disable QA calibration notifications
- Suppresses notifications to team leaders about new calibrations.
- Re-engagement emails
-
Sends emails every day at 1:00 PM UTC to agents and managers to re-engage them with the application.
Agent email example — You have %{count} responses from your customers waiting for you.
Manager email example — You're missing your team's feedback on Agent Connect.
- Flexible survey system
- Keep this setting enabled to use modern Agent Connect surveys rather than legacy surveys.
- Forward orphaned replies
- Forwards emails that do not have a matching survey to the address specified in the Forward emails to field. Possible causes for this scenario are unknown.
- Ignore email response
- When enabled, the respondent must submit an answer on the first page of a survey for the answer to be recorded, shown on the Stream, and included in metrics calculations. When disabled (default), the from_email attribute will be recorded as a valid answer.
- Leaderboard
- Enables the Leaderboards page. When disabled, the Leaderboards entry will be removed from the top menu bar.
- Enable Localize.js
-
Enables the language selector near the bottom-right corner of the page. Users can select one of the available languages (English, German, Spanish, French, or Italian) to localize text in the UI (labels, headers, field names, etc.).
Exceptions — Branding words (Stream, QA), client inputs (questions on the survey, etc.), and customer/employee inputs (survey responses and QA review comments, etc.) will remain in their original language.
- Multi-region Snappy rewards
- Allows different Snappy rewards to be configured for different regions (US and non-US).
- Multiple QA integrations
- Enable this setting to allow users to map QA integrations to channels on the QA settings page.
- Private 1:1s
- Enable this setting to make the Private Session toggle switch available for coaching sessions.
- QA review notifications
- Enables email notifications to agents for completed reviews to encourage them to engage with the review quickly. By default, this is enabled for new clients, but some clients may turn it off to avoid email clutter for agents.
- Remap VCC to Interaction ID
- This is exclusively for one specific client. This setting was implemented to accommodate the way that client's data passes between Agent Connect and MEC.
- Reporting group permissions
- (Not used - enabled by default) This setting should remain enabled, and it is not relevant to the current implementation of groups.
- Response rate on team trends
- Enable this setting to display the request count and response rate on the Company Trends dashboard.
- Review similar
- If the QA assignment was configured with the Allow Partial Match checkbox selected, and the Review Similar toggle switch is On, reviewers will be presented with the option to select reviews that only partially match the assignment criteria. This allows reviewers to meet their quota without waiting for new interactions.
- Service recovery
-
Enables service recovery features for the organization. When disabled, the tile for Service Recovery on the Settings page and the Service Recovery survey builder are removed for client admins in the organization.
As long as there is data, the Service Recovery entry will remain in the Trends navigation menu. If no data has been created, Service Recovery wil not show up in the Trends menu.
- SFTP integration
- Enable this setting to allow clients to send files with feedback requests via SFTP.
- Skip survey delivery
- Disables the sending of Agent Connect surveys to facilitate the bring-your-own-survey (BYOS) option. BYOS configurations often use MEC surveys instead.
- Survey builder
- Disable this setting to remove the survey builder, to facilitate the bring-your-own-survey (BYOS) option for MEC clients who use MEC surveys and send the results into Agent Connect. Use with caution! Turning off the survey builder can break survey connections with existing clients.
- Request tags
- Enables the capture of tags and the use of tag filtering/reporting.
Internal
This catch-all section contains a variety of settings related to the organization which do not fit into other sections.
- User cap
- Set a maximum number of users allowed for the organization (done during implementation). If a client attempts to add users past their user cap, they will receive an in-app notification explaining that they will be billed for additional headcount. When an expansion of seats occurs, generally at the time of a contract signing, Professional Services or Deal Desk will update the user cap.
- URL ID
- (Do not change) This automatically populated ID is linked to the organization's unique URL.
- Test company
- When enabled, the organization will not be included in internal usage analytics.
- Filter for profanity
-
The profanity filter uses a regular expression pattern to match banned words in survey responses, based on a list provided by the client. Enabling the toggle switch exposes a text field to add the list of words.
Words must separated using the pipe symbol (
|) to represent logical OR. The\bprefix can be used to apply a word boundary, ensuring the filter matches only full words and avoids partial or accidental matches within larger words.Example:
\bexample1|example2|\btestword|demo-
\bexample1 — matches "example1" only if it appears as a whole word.
-
example2 — matches anywhere in the text (beginning, middle, or end).
-
\btestword — again, ensures matching only if "testword" appears as a standalone word.
-
Pipes (|) separate each word as a distinct match option.
Use
\bselectively when you want to avoid false positives from substrings, especially for shorter or common syllables. -
- Show marketing links for responses of any star rating
-
When enabled, marketing links will be displayed after any responses, not only those that are positive. This is meant to work with the Direct traffic back to your site setting on the Marketing page.
When disabled, marketing links will only be displayed for responses greater than four stars.
- Disable employee surveys
- Controls the visibility of our in-app surveying (VOC product feedback surveys), which we will periodically enable to collect VOC data.
Danger zone
Settings in this section should be changed with extreme caution, as they can have serious impacts that affect the performance and basic functioning of the organization.
- Allow company admin to request on behalf of Team members
- Enable this to allow the user specified in the Admin field in Company Admin section to send feedback requests for other users.
- Edit feedback on stream
- Enable or disable the ability to edit customer feedback on the Stream.
- Hidden StellaConnect logo
- When enabled, the Medallia logo is not displayed on the customer-facing survey. This can be helpful for clients who want strict control over branding.
- Hide team tree and team drop down
- Removes elements from the Stream that can affect performance for organizations with many employees. This should no longer be needed due to the introduction of more efficient loading logic on the Stream.
- Custom referrals
- Enables the Referral Codes tab on the Marketing page, where you can configure custom referral codes.
- Employee create/update manged externally
- Hides the edit function on user profiles. When enabled, all updates are presumed to happen through integrations or the API.
- Bring your own survey class name
- Designates the source of surveys (MEC or Qualtrics) when using bring-your-own-survey (BYOS). When BYOS is not used, leave this at the default value of "None".
- Solicitation attributes mapping
- Contains a mapping between creation attributes of survey requests received and the survey ID for each organization. This field is required to send surveys. The default mapping assigns the organization's Feedback Survey ID for all requests that are not labeled as service recovery. Service recovery mapping is handled elsewhere.
External systems
This section contains field mappings for the Zendesk integration.
- Zendesk field mappings
- Click this link to map field names between Agent Connect and Zendesk. Fields include "Star Rating", "AreasOfImprovement", "Rewards", and their related comment fields.
