Embedding NPS questions in survey email invitations

You can embed the NPS question directly in a survey email invitation. When contacts select a score within their email, this score will automatically be registered as a survey response and they will be taken directly to the second page in your survey. This way, your respondents can start answering your survey even faster, skipping the introduction altogether.

Any respondents you didn't invite via email will still see the introduction, so make sure you have one.

There are two ways you can embed the NPS question in the survey email invitation:

Using the NPS embedded email template
Manually embedding the NPS question in the email invitation yourself (requires basic HTML knowledge)

Embedding the NPS question automatically via the survey template

This is the easiest method to embed the NPS question into your email invitation. The survey template already has the NPS question embedded in the email invitation, optimized for all email clients.

The survey itself also contains the NPS question and the most important follow-up questions.

You can still edit this survey and add more questions. Just make sure to leave the NPS question as the first question AND on a separate page from the others.

To select the correct template, complete the following steps:

Create a new survey.
Select Use a template.
Select Net Promoter Score (embedded email).

The survey is now created.

To view or edit the email invitation, complete the following steps:

Select Distribute > Add / Remove channel.
Select Via Email and select to use the Agile Research email system.
Click Save.
Select Email invitation.

Edit the From and Reply address or change the email subject. You can also add your own company or product name as well as a signature. You can add your own logo so the email is immediately recognized by the recipients.

Send a preview invitation to yourself or your colleagues to test.

mbedding the NPS question manually

If you've already created your survey, follow the steps below to embed an NPS question in a survey email invitation.

Note: Before starting, make sure you have added the NPS question as the very first question in your survey and that it is on a separate page from the next question.

Open your survey.
Select Distribute > Add / Remove channel.
Select Via Email and select to use the Agile Research email system.
Click Save.
Select Email invitation.
Note: To be sure you're using the latest version of our email template, click Reset before proceeding with the next steps.

Add the name of the company or service you want to rate. You can also add your own logo, add a signature, use variables, and add a personalized message.
Click Save.

Test the invitation by sending a preview invitation to yourself or a colleague.
