Create and Manage SFTP Audience Destinations

Create an SFTP Audience Destination to export data to an existing SFTP location.

Note: Only users with the Admin or Creator role can create and manage Audience Destinations.

Create an SFTP Audience Destination (Default Authentication)

  1. In MXO, choose Analyze.
  2. Select Audience Destinations.
  3. Click + Create.
  4. Enter a unique Name for your new destination.For example, BI Reporting.
  5. Optionally, provide a description for your new destination.
  6. Select SFTP from the Destination drop-down.
  7. Select the format in which you want to share the data. Choose one of the following:
    • CSV
    • JSON
    • Data Export v8
  8. Provide the following details about the SFTP server:
FieldDescription
ServerURL or IP Address of the SFTP server with which you want to share audience data. For example, ftp-oneserver.emea.cloudapp.azure.com.
PortSFTP Port number. Typically, either 21 (TCP) or 22 (SSH).
PathLocation in which to store data, relative to root. For example, /www.
UsernameUsername required to access the SFTP server.
Access TypeChoose Password and enter the password required to access the SFTP server.
  1. If you selected CSV or JSON format, choose which attributes to share with this destination. Choose either:
    • All attributes. Go to Step 14.
    • Specific attributes. Go to Step 11.
  2. Click + (Add).
  3. Select the attributes to share and click Select.
  4. If required, drag and drop the attributes in to the preferred order for sharing.
  5. Click Save.

Once your audience destination is configured, you can start {{}} audience data.

  1. In MXO, choose Analyze.
  2. Select Audience Destinations.
  3. Click + Create.
  4. Enter a unique Name for your new destination.For example, BI Reporting.
  5. Optionally, provide a description for your new destination.
  6. Select SFTP from the Destination drop-down.
  7. Select the format in which you want to share the data. Choose one of the following:
    • CSV
    • JSON
    • Data Export v8
  8. Provide the following details about the SFTP server:

PortSFTP Port number. Typically, either 21 (TCP) or 22 (SSH).

Access TypeChoose SSH and enter the following details: - Host Key. Host public key required to authenticate to the SFTP server. - Private Key. Client (user) private key required to authenticate to the SFTP server. - Passphrase. Passphrase associated with the client private key. Required only if the client private key was encrypted with a passphrase during initial setup.
  1. If you selected CSV or JSON format, choose which attributes to share with this destination. Choose either:
    • All attributes. Go to Step 14.
    • Specific attributes. Go to Step 11.
  2. Click + (Add).
  3. Select the attributes to share and click Select.
  4. If required, drag and drop the attributes in to the preferred order for sharing.
  5. Click Save.

Once your audience destination is configured, you can start {{}} audience data.

Note: If unable to validate the credentials you provide during the creation process, MXO displays an error message to help with troubleshooting.

Edit an Audience Destination

  1. In MXO, choose Analyze.
  2. Select Audience Destinations.
  3. Click the Edit icon next to the Audience Destination you want to edit.
  4. Make your required changes and then click Save.

Delete an Audience Destination

  1. In MXO, choose Analyze.
  2. Select Audience Destinations.
  3. Click the Delete icon next to the Audience Destination you want to delete.
  4. Click Yes, delete it.
