VIS 7.6 release notes
Released April 14, 2021
Read about the latest system updates, feature enhancements, and new features in VoiceXML Interaction Server (VIS).
Release highlights
VIS 7.6 supports IVG version 5.0.
See the IVG documentation for more information on IVG 5.0.
The Agent Preview feature can now be turned on or off in the Holly Management System (HMS) user interface.
A new Application Parameter, agent_preview_enable, must be added and set to true to enable the Agent Preview feature. Removing the parameter or setting any other value will disable it.
Agent Preview allows agents to preview caller data before providing DTMF input to begin speaking with a customer. To learn more, see the IVG 5.0 configuration guide.
The Tomcat dependency version has been updated to 9.0.43.
Fixed issues
An issue causing inbound calls to be dropped in Avaya integrations has been resolved.
When using VIS 7.5 or lower with Avaya, if there was no value configured in the toolkit.properties file for the Disconnect Transfer DN (com.virtualhold.toolkit.avaya.disconnecttransferdn), calls could be dropped prior to reaching an agent.
An issue causing the word "sixty" to be spoken in a different voice when quoting Estimated Wait Time (EWT) has been resolved.
We have updated the default voice files for VIS 7.6 to ensure the word "sixty" is spoken in the same voice as other words and numbers. Previously, text-to-speech was being used when "sixty" was spoken to quote the EWT.
When using Agent Priority, the default voice files were always played to agents, even when different voice files were configured for customer dialogues.
An update to audio fetching logic now allows you to set custom CallScripts (voice file collections) to be used for both customer and agent dialogues.
